WHAT IS MISSION POSSIBLE?
Mission possible is designed as a do-it-yourself protocol for overcoming your dog’s separation anxiety. The course is presented in detailed lessons to help you gain a deeper understanding, not only about the overall issue but also about treatment.

LEARN ABOUT
•The process of desensitization and why this is the gold standard for separation anxiety treatment.
•The importance of understanding your dog’s threshold, why we can never go above it and how to work below it.
•The importance of managing and suspending absences and how getting creative with solutions can be crucial towards alone-time success. (This is completely doable!)
•How to assess your dog and how to use our step-by-step manual to begin working through the process.
•Information on medications and how they are used in the treatment of separation anxiety from a veterinarian with a specialty in behavior.

ADDITIONAL KEY ELEMENTS
•Interview with a CSAT (who is also a Psychologist!) explaining desensitization
•Interviews with dog owners who have successfully gone through separation anxiety training
•Interview with a Vet
Sample videos of separation anxiety dogs being assessed
-A 30-page step-by-step printable manual to follow containing sample pages to provide guidance
•Opportunities to ask discussion questions and the ability to speak among course peers
•Additional support options (outlined below)
•Pages of content outlining the most important topics that will guide you through your training, written by Malena DeMartini

Educational Content & Training Philosophy
Vivian Zottola’s Human -Dog behavior and communication training is rooted in kindness and current evidence based animal science. Behavior Training Interventions Vivian has designed are ideal for humans and their pets of all -life stages (juvenile, adolescent, adult, geriatric) and breeds regardless if acquired from a commercial, private breeder or through a rescue/shelter.  Vivian provides people and their pet companions the opportunity to learn based on the individuals’ (human and animal) unique perception and personal needs. Teaching strategies incorporated may include a mix of structured reward based operant conditioning, desensitization, counter conditioning, response substitution, relaxation and replacement training for both human and pet animal. No aversive (punishment tactics including fear, pain or intimidation) tools, equipment or discipline is used in any of Vivian’s training practice.
